Mini-duffel Bag 2
with Colleen K
Ages: 13 - 18
$50
only 4 seats left
This cute little bag can be used to store lots of useful items: sewing tools, cosmetics, even to hold cookies as a gift! We have a lot of skills in this bag: Using a fusible stabilizer, adding a zipper, and matching seams. This is a fun project to make from a decorator fabric or a quilting cotton.
You can make this bag from a single fat quarter, or make several out of a yard of fabric. A backing fabric would give you a nice lining; if you want this pick up another fat quarter (stick with cottons though, don't use slippery lining). You could also choose to use multiple fabrics to create a unique look, so 1/4 yard of each would do.
You'll also need a zipper and thread to match. I have both fusible fleece and fusible foam for you to play with (included in the class cost).
Bring to class:
- Sewing machine/pedal, favorite tools like pins and scissors
- Pre-washed fabric(s), thread, zipper
Meets once, and you should have a mostly finished bag at the end of class. Class is open to teens ages 13+
